About Amber Valley Riders…
This website has been developed to help us stay in touch with members and provide an information point for anyone interested in joining AVR. If you have any comments or suggestions about the website then please let us know…
Details and entry forms for the rides will be e-mailed to current members a few weeks prior to the ride date.
Entry forms can also be downloaded from our ‘ride dates’ page in advance of this time or our FB page. Please return completed entry forms to the ride organiser.
Entries normally close two weeks before the ride but will be stated on the ride form, which allows us to order bespoke rosettes for each ride.
Ride entries are non-refundable after the closing date, unless the ride is cancelled by the organiser.
Our rides are also open to non-members again in 2022 but please note that due to our increased number of members some of our rides may be made for members only.
Ride entry forms for non-members can be downloaded from this website or our Facebook page, once made available.
Membership is only £22 per year, so why not join AVR and benefit from a cheaper ride entry fee.
AVR members gain one point for each ride completed or each ride where they assist as a ride marshal.
At the end of the season AVR hold an Awards Meal, where members meals will be subsidised then the presentation of awards will be followed by a disco.
Members gain awards based on how many rides they have completed during the season.
Ride Marshals.
The number of marshals required to run a ride will be stated on the ride entry form. If the organiser does not get sufficient volunteers the ride will not run.
Please remember that all organisers and marshals give up their time voluntarily so all participants are reminded to be courteous and polite.
Ride marshals are given a food voucher for the day and a point which goes towards the end of season award tally. They are also given a small token of £15 in appreciation of their efforts.
Rider Number Tabards. Each AVR member is issued with a rider number and will wear a yellow florescent tabard with this number printed on the front and back. This increases the visibility of riders and also helps marshals to check off riders quickly as they pass.
New members who require ‘tabards’ for this season will receive them through the post once the membership fee and ‘one-off’ tabard fee have been received by the Membership Secretary. This number is then yours for as long as you are a member of AVR.
Non-members will be issued with pink numbered tabards, which must be returned following every ride.
‘Amber Valley Riders’ is now on Facebook.
Data held on club members will only be divulged to committee members for club business and not to any other party under the Data Protection Act. If you are thinking of joining AVR then please contact…
A small membership fee is payable annually which covers the cost of communication with members throughout the year…Current Membership ( runs from 1st March ) Riding Member £22 per annum.
New members must also purchase a tabard for £10.
